Malayalam star Suraj Venjaramoodu has officially confirmed that he is part of the much-anticipated sequel Jailer 2, led by Superstar Rajinikanth. Although he did not directly mention the film in his birthday post for the actor, industry sources have affirmed his involvement, and Suraj has reportedly completed shooting his portions for the Nelson Dilipkumar directed film.
In his warm message on Rajinikanth’s birthday, Suraj expressed that sharing screen space with the superstar was an “honour and privilege.” His words immediately sparked excitement among fans, fueling ongoing speculation that he was indeed a part of the film. The actor is also said to have wrapped up work on D54, marking another major Tamil project in his growing lineup.
Jailer 2 continues to draw attention with its star-studded lineup that includes a mix of returning actors and new additions. Ramya Krishnan is expected to reprise her role from the first film, while buzz suggests that Vinayakan, whose character met a dramatic end in the original, may be involved again – possibly through flashbacks or fresh narrative interpretations.
Backed by Sun Pictures, the film brings together major collaborators such as Anirudh Ravichander, cinematographer Vijay Kartik Kannan, and editor Nirmal, continuing the technical team’s strong synergy from the first installment. The movie is slated for a worldwide release on June 12th, 2026.
