Sudha Kongara breaks silence on Parasakthi vs Jana Nayagan clash

At a recent event, director Sudha Kongara shared her thoughts on the casting of her upcoming film, one of the anticipated periodic flick, Parasakthi. She praised Sivakarthikeyan as the “perfect fit” for the lead role, citing his relatable “boy next door” image as an essential quality for a hero character. She also lauded Ravi Mohan for his performance, noting that he plays a powerful antagonist, a stark contrast to Sivakarthikeyan’s role.

When asked about the potential Pongal 2026 box office clash between Parasakthi and Thalapathy Vijay’s Jana Nayagan, Sudha cheekily responded, “The producer will have to speak on that!”

We’ve heard that even if the clash is confirmed, Parasakthi is expected to postpone its release by 2 or 3 days from Jana Nayagan, which is set to release on January 9th.

Meanwhile, the shooting of Parasakthi is back on track. After a brief break, the next schedule kicks off in Pollachi, with key sequences set to be filmed involving the main cast. With momentum picking up, the film is firmly targeting a grand Pongal 2026 release.
