State-of-the-art dubbing studio my longtime dream: Kamal Haasan
Kamal Haasan has said building a state-of-the-art dubbing studio has been his longtime dream.
“Building a state-of-the-art dubbing studio is not just the dream of Resul Pookkutty and Lissy but my long-time dream too. Two decades back, we never had the luxury of working with high-end pieces of equipment to record sounds. It was always a strenuous task,” Kamal Haasan told at the inauguration of Lissy Lakshmi’s Dubbing Studios, which is constructed under the supervision of Academy Award-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty.
“Now, sound plays an integral part in a movie. It’s as important as screenplay writing. Sound can tell stories like music, poster, and screenplay. Sound and camera are two most crucial things,” Haasan told. The Vishwaroopam actor also wished Resul Pookutty, who is working on a new sound technology for his upcoming magnum opus ‘2.o‘ directed by Shankar and starring Superstar Rajinikanth.
