Soundarya Rajinikanth collaborates with MRP on new movie launching Tourist Family director Abishan Jeevinth as Hero

MRP Entertainments, the banner behind acclaimed films like Manikandan’s Good Night, Lover, and the 2025 blockbuster hit Tourist Family, has officially announced its Production #4 – and this time, they are teaming up with none other than Soundarya Rajinikanth.

This collaboration marks a significant comeback for Soundarya, who made waves with her pioneering directorial debut Kochadaiyaan starring her father, Superstar Rajinikanth, and later helmed Dhanush’s VIP 2. Known for her visionary storytelling and technical finesse, fans have eagerly awaited her return to the creative forefront.

In 2023, it was revealed that Soundarya would be producing an Amazon Prime Video web series titled Gangs, featuring Ashok Selvan in the lead. The series is directed by Noah Abraham, who previously worked as an assistant director under Soundarya in Velaiilla Pattadhari 2. Gangs is expected to premiere soon in Amazon Prime and has already generated significant buzz.

Now, with Zion Films (Soundarya Rajinikanth’s production house) joining forces with MRP Entertainments, another exciting project is underway – this time with Tourist Family director Abishan Jeevinth stepping into the spotlight. Having directed and played an extended role in Tourist Family, Abishan Jeevinth now steps into a full-fledged lead role in this new venture, with Anaswara Rajan (best known for acting Mohanlal’s Neru) playing his pair. The film is currently being shot under the direction of Madhan, with cinematography by Shreyas Krishna and music by Sean Roldan.

This fresh collaboration signals a dynamic blend of talent, vision, and new-age storytelling that is sure to capture audience attention. With Soundarya Rajinikanth’s comeback on the big screen, expectations are high.
