After a decade-long break from directing, actor-director SJ Suryah is making a grand comeback with his upcoming film Killer. Known for cult hits like Vaali, Kushi, and New, Suryah not only directs but also stars in the lead role, while penning the story, screenplay and dialogues.
Killer is a high-profile collaboration between Sree Gokulam Movies, led by veteran producer Gokulam Gopalan, and Angel Studios, Suryah’s own production banner. Billed as a pan-Indian thriller, Killer will release in five languages (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi & Malayalam), backed by a star-studded ensemble cast yet to be revealed. The makers promise a gripping cinematic experience that will appeal to audiences across regions. “We’re assembling top talents from across India to make Killer a truly nationwide spectacle,” said the team in a joint statement.
The shoot of the film commenced yesterday, following a successful launch event. Preethi Asrani, known for her role in Kiss, will star alongside SJ Suryah in this high-budget venture. The remaining cast and crew will be officially announced in the coming days.
