Sivakarthikeyan’s heartfelt speech steals the spotlight at the World of Parasakthi event

At the World of Parasakthi event, Sivakarthikeyan reflects on the film’s journey, his bond with the cast, Sudha Kongara’s vision, and the emotional weight of the project.

Sivakarthikeyan speech at the World of Parasakthi stood out as one of the most heartfelt moments of the evening, offering insight, warmth, and genuine emotion as the actor spoke about his journey with the film and the people behind it.

Speaking at the grand promotional event, Sivakarthikeyan began by reflecting on what drew him to Parasakthi, a period drama set in the 1960s and directed by Sudha Kongara. He revealed that the biggest reason he came on board was the director herself, who spent nearly four to five years shaping the powerful script. Calling it a demanding film, SK noted that Parasakthi challenged the entire team, both creatively and emotionally, making it one of the toughest projects of his career.

He went on to thank producer Aakash Baskaran and the entire production team for organising such a large-scale event and for ensuring that the film reached audiences through strong and thoughtful promotions. Lightening the mood, Sivakarthikeyan shared a humorous moment, joking that he initially planned to save his words for the audio launch. “If I don’t speak now,” he laughed, “YouTube thumbnails will say Ravi Mohan spoke beautifully, and Sivakarthikeyan didn’t speak at all.”

One of the most touching moments in the Sivakarthikeyan speech at the World of Parasakthi was when he spoke about his bond with Atharvaa. He recalled how Atharvaa had once come for his very first film promotion when SK was hosting a television show alongside Atharvaa’s father. Today, the two stand together as co-actors, sharing a strong brotherly connection.

When it came to director Sudha Kongara, SK smiled and said there was so much to talk about that he would reserve those words for the audio launch. He also warmly welcomed Sree Leela to Tamil cinema, expressing confidence that audiences would embrace her efforts. Praising Ravi Mohan, SK thanked him for accepting such a challenging antagonist role, adding that while Ravi is his on-screen villain, he has always been a personal hero since his college days.

He also congratulated GV Prakash Kumar on completing 100 films, celebrating his remarkable journey across genres. Marking Parasakthi as his 25th film, Sivakarthikeyan called it a deeply special milestone. Describing the film, he said it addresses a major social issue while taking audiences back to the 1960s with love, courage, care, and rebellion.

Parasakthi stars Sivakarthikeyan, Ravi Mohan, Sreeleela, Atharvaa Murali and many others in its ensemble, and gears for a grand worldwide release for Pongal, Jan 14th.
