The makers of Parasakthi came together for an emotional and celebratory Thanksgiving Meet, where the film’s cast and crew reflected on its journey, reception, and impact across audiences.
Actor Sreeleela described Parasakthi as a defining moment in her career. Known largely for her songs and dance performances, she shared that this was the first time she had received widespread appreciation for a full-fledged acting role. The response from audiences deeply moved her, with several viewers reportedly stepping out of theaters in tears. Calling it a “perfect debut,” she expressed gratitude for the trust placed in her.
Director Sudha Kongara offered candid insights into her collaboration with Sivakarthikeyan. She revealed that during the early stages, the two were not entirely in sync, a gap they openly discussed and resolved. From that point, she said, their creative partnership only strengthened, to the extent that a single look now conveys her intent. Addressing Sreeleela’s image, Sudha emphasised that glamour is not a limitation, adding that beyond it, the actor delivered an extraordinary performance in Parasakthi.
Sivakarthikeyan highlighted the film’s wide reach, noting how it resonated with all age groups – from children quoting its dialogues to elderly viewers getting emotional over its themes. He thanked fans for making his 25th film memorable and shared that industry stalwarts Kamal Haasan and Superstar Rajinikanth personally called to praise his performance, with Rajinikanth calling the film bold and lauding its second half.
The event also confirmed that Parasakthi is already a profitable venture for Dawn Pictures. Creative producer Dev Ramnath announced an eight-week OTT window following its theatrical release.
Parsakthi got released worldwide on Jan 10th, and the film is heading a successful run in the box office with over 50 crores gross worldwide in its 2 days of run!
