Sirai Trailer: Vikram Prabhu returns with a hard hitting, realistic drama
Showcasing Vikram Prabhu’s gritty constable role and Akshay’s impactful portrayal of a murder accused, Sirai trailer promises a raw, tension-filled drama rooted in real events.

The Sirai trailer has arrived, marking Vikram Prabhu’s next release (25th movie) after the success of Love Marriage. Staying consistent with the grounded storytelling space he explored in Taanakkaran, the actor steps into another intense and tightly woven world rooted in true events. The trailer immediately sets the tone for a gritty narrative, spotlighting Vikram Prabhu as a police constable assigned to escort a murder accused to court. When the accused suddenly goes missing under his watch, the story spirals into a chain of tense, unpredictable moments that seem to drive the film.
Interestingly, Sirai is not shaped around Vikram Prabhu alone. The core of the film revolves around the murder accused, played by Akshay Kumar, son of Lalit Kumar of 7 Screen Studios, and his romantic interest portrayed by Anishma Anilkumar. The trailer hints at a sensitive Hindu–Muslim love conflict unfolding in a rural backdrop, exposing the layers of distrust, societal pressure, and emotional turmoil within the community. The treatment appears raw and uncompromising, reminiscent of the grounded narrative style often associated with filmmaker Vetrimaaran.
Directed by Suresh Rajakumari, Sirai carries the story and screenplay written by Tamizh, known for Taanakkaran and currently directing Marshal starring Karthi. On the technical front, the trailer showcases sharp visuals by cinematographer Madhesh Manickam, complemented by Philomin Raj’s crisp editing that seems to heighten the tension. Justin Prabhakaran’s music further amplifies the unsettling, immersive tone, suggesting a score that will significantly elevate the film’s emotional weight.
With its gripping premise, strong performances, and realistic treatment, Sirai promises a hard-hitting theatrical experience. The film is set for a December 25th Christmas release, and the trailer strongly positions it as one of the season’s most impactful dramas.
