Sirai set for Christmas release; Seven Screen Studio lines up back to back films this December

Sirai, starring Vikram Prabhu and LK Akshay Kumar, is all set for a worldwide theatrical release on December 25th, coinciding with the Christmas festival.

Produced by SS Lalit Kumar under the banner of Seven Screen Studio, Sirai is directed by Suresh Rajakumari, a debutant filmmaker and former associate of acclaimed director Vetrimaaran. Inspired by true events, the film revolves around the emotional and intense journey between a police officer and an under-trial prisoner, delving into themes of duty, empathy, and moral conflict.

The story is written by Director Tamil (Taanakkaran fame), based on his personal experiences, lending the film a realistic and grounded tone. Vikram Prabhu plays the lead role with Anantha starring opposite him, while LK Akshay Kumar, son of producer Lalit Kumar, makes his acting debut alongside Anishma.

The film boasts a strong technical crew with music by Justin Prabhakaran, cinematography by Mathesh Manickam, editing by Philomin Raj, and stunts by Prabhu. The satellite and OTT rights have been secured by Zee, underscoring the project’s growing buzz.

After receiving a strong response for its impactful first-look poster, the makers have now officially announced the release date. Interestingly, Seven Screen Studio is set for two major back to back releases – Love Insurance Kompany (LIK) on December 18th and Sirai on December 25th, making it a festive double treat for audiences.
