Unfortunately, today Morning due to outbreak of violence there was huge commotion between the students and Police force. Currently entire Tamil Nadu is going through a crisis situation. “Now people have started to agitate in streets to condemn the act of police and police have initiated Lathi charge against the protesters. There is an unrest situation in the State and it is completely beyond our control. Releasing SI-3 film under such a distress situation will have a negative impact on the film collections and also on the reputation of the stakeholders. It will be very difficult to monetise and recoup the funds invested in the Film under the current circumstances. Considering the sentiments of the Tamil people, prevailing situation in the State, for the general good of stakeholders and all the other vital factors, we regret to postpone the release from 26th of January 2017 and the further date will be intimated soon to you, hope you will understand the situation and respect the sentiments of the people.
