Sibiraj is upbeat about Naaigal Jaakirathai

Sibiraj who is making a comeback after four years in Shakthi Soundar Rajan’s Naaigal Jaakirathai is upbeat about the film. His last film was Naanayam with the same director. Sibiraj took a four-year hiatus and fine-tuned his acting skills in NewYork Film Academy. Now he is back with Naaigal Jaakirathai, a film centered around a dog. “The film will be better than the celebrated Hollywood film Marley and Me. The dog has a back story, it’s a new subject; the film will succeed in this era of Tamil films,” says Sibiraj.

“The first half of the film is light-hearted, while the second half has the hero solving a crime with the dog’s help,” says Sibiraj to a daily. He plays second fiddle to a Belgian Shepherd in the film. “The dog had to be agile and smart enough to know when to attack. We even rejected the dog used in Akshay Kumar’s Entertainment. Eventually, they found a dog in Stealth-Paws, a Bengaluru-based centre that supplies dogs to security agencies,” reveals Sibiraj.
