Shoot of Ken Karunas directorial venture has been wrapped in 60 days!

The shooting of Ken Karunas’ upcoming film, in which he serves as both lead actor and director, has been completed in a remarkably short span of time. The production wrapped up in just two months, with filming having commenced in September. The team reportedly worked on a continuous schedule, allowing the project to be completed efficiently and on time.

The film is produced by Karuppiah C. Ram under the Paarvathaa Entertainment banner, marking the production house’s maiden venture. Despite being a debut production, the team handled the project on a considerable scale. On several shooting days, as many as 250 junior artists were deployed, particularly for sequences set within a school environment, which forms the backdrop of the story. The production was planned meticulously to ensure smooth execution while maintaining the intended visual scale.

Positioned as a colorful and light-hearted entertainer, the film is set largely in a school setting: a space that naturally evokes nostalgia and relatability, which has music by GV Prakash. This backdrop is expected to play a key role in shaping the film’s tone, blending humor with emotional beats drawn from familiar experiences.

Ken Karunas, who has consistently drawn attention through impactful performances even in limited screen time, appears set to explore a broader creative canvas with this project. Taking on dual responsibilities as director and lead actor, he is expected to showcase his versatility both behind and in front of the camera.

With filming now completed, the makers are aiming for a February 2026 theatrical release. More details regarding the film’s first look and teaser are expected to be announced in the coming days.
