Actor Ravi Mohan has opened up about his ongoing personal struggles and revealed that he will stay away from acting until his divorce proceedings are completed. The actor addressed the media during a press interaction held at his office on Saturday (May 16), where he spoke emotionally about the pressure, online criticism, and mental strain he has been facing in recent months.
Speaking about his current state of mind, Ravi Mohan said he has been unable to focus on work due to the continuous controversies surrounding his personal life. The actor stated that the ongoing humiliation and constant discussions online have deeply affected him, making it difficult to continue acting at the moment.
The controversy surrounding Ravi Mohan’s divorce from his estranged wife Aarti Ravi has remained a major talking point on social media over the past several months. The discussions intensified further after the actor’s public appearances with singer Keneeshaa Francis began attracting attention online.
During the interaction, Ravi Mohan strongly reacted to those targeting him indirectly and said many people were trying to provoke him. He added that he had remained silent for a long time despite being criticized repeatedly, but warned that he would no longer tolerate attacks against him or his family.
The actor also addressed the growing cyberbullying he has been facing online. Ravi Mohan stated that once his divorce is legally finalized and life returns to normalcy, he hopes to make a comeback to acting. He further mentioned that he has worked continuously for more than two decades and built his career entirely through hard work.
Ravi Mohan also spoke about women’s rights and feminism during the press meet. Referring to the criticism aimed at him online, the actor said he has always respected women and pointed out that several of his films have strongly spoken against violence towards women.
The actor’s emotional statements come shortly after Keneeshaa Francis shared emotional social media videos addressing online trolling and public criticism connected to the controversy. Reports also suggested that the singer recently stepped away from social media amid the growing backlash.
