“Rajinikanth’s instincts have worked all his life,” says Akshay Kumar

Akshay Kumar, who plays the role of an antagonist in 2.0, gushed about working with Superstar Rajinikanth in the film directed by Shankar and produced by Lyca Productions.

Speaking at the press conference in Dubai, Akshay Kumar said, “I’ve learnt a lot from Rajinikanth although I would need another five movies to learn more from him. He is such a down-to-earth, humble person as we all know. He is also a jovial man but trust me he speaks a lot. I’ve listened to a lot of stories from him on set after the shooting every day. He has great instincts which have worked all his life. To put his money on a big project like this needs guts and he has it.

Director Shankar confirmed that 2.0 is not an extension of Enthiran. 2.0 is a new film with a new premise and a new message. The film has a global message which will connect to everyone. It’s not a copy of any Hollywood film. We have used the Hollywood format,” said Shankar.

Rajinikanth said 2.0 will be a prestigious Indian film. When someone asked him about his humble nature, he said, “I don’t act in real life because no one pays me to act off-screen.”

AR Rahman has revealed that there are only three songs in the movie and only two of them will be released tomorrow. “We may have more bit tracks later once we work on the background score,” added AR Rahman.

The makers are gearing up for the audio launch which will be held tomorrow (Oct 27th). The film is all set to hit screens worldwide on January 25th, 2018.
