Rajinikanth’s Billa connection in Ajith’s Thala 55

There’s an interesting connection to Rajinikanth’s yesteryear blockbuster hit Billa in Ajith’s Thala 55 directed by Gautham Menon. We earlier reported here that Meera Mitun, a biotechnologist-turned-dancer plays a small role in Thala 55 and has acted alongside Ajith in few scenes. Apparently, Meera’s dad, who was also a model and has titles like Mr. Madras, Mr. Tamil Nadu to his credit, played a brief role in Rajinikanth’s Billa and now Meera Mitun is making her debut in Thala 55. 

Produced by AM Ratnam, Thala 55, starring Ajith, Trisha Krishnan and Anushka Shetty in lead roles, is expected to be a December release. It has music by Harris Jayaraj.
