Rajinikanth confirms Jailer 2 release date; set to hit screens in June 2026

Superstar Rajinikanth has officially announced the release date for his highly anticipated film Jailer 2. The sequel to the 2023 blockbuster Jailer is scheduled to release worldwide on June 12th, 2026.

Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Jailer 2 is currently in production, with filming taking place across multiple locations in South India, including Palakkad, Kerala. Recently, Rajinikanth, Nelson, and the film’s crew were spotted traveling from Coimbatore to Palakkad for a shooting schedule. After completing scenes in Palakkad, the team returned to Chennai to continue work on the project.

At the Chennai airport, Rajinikanth was approached by reporters who inquired about the status of the film. In response, the veteran actor confirmed that Jailer 2 will hit theatres on June 12th, sparking excitement among his fans worldwide.
