Superstar Rajinikanth, who earlier today dropped an exciting update about his potential reunion with Kamal Haasan at the Chennai airport, has now arrived in Coimbatore for the next schedule of his much-awaited film, Jailer 2.
Sources reveal that the shoot will take place in Palakkad, where Rajinikanth is set to film his portions over the next six days, starting tomorrow. The location buzz and tight schedule indicate the team’s commitment to maintaining the grandeur and pace of the sequel.
When asked by a media person about the film’s release timeline, Rajinikanth hinted that Jailer 2 could be hitting screens around June 2026, sending fans into a frenzy of anticipation.
Directed by Nelson and backed by Sun Pictures, Jailer 2 is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated films of 2026. The film will also see the return of mega stars Shivarajkumar and Mohanlal, who left a strong impression in the first installment. Adding to the star power, Nandamuri Balakrishna is reportedly playing an extended role, making this a star studded spectacle. With Anirudh returning as the music director, fans can expect another explosive soundtrack to complement the film’s scale and action.
Jailer 2 promises to bring back the mass, style, and energy that made the original a blockbuster – this time, even bigger and bolder.
