Yogi Babu revealed that his admiration for Elan and his filmmaking was a major reason for joining the project. While the film maintains a fun and humorous tone, he pointed out that it also contains serious emotions that audiences can connect with. According to Elan, while Pyaar Prema Kaadhal explored love, Pyaar Prema Kalyanam shifts its focus to marriage and the beautiful experiences that come with it. He believes marriage does not always have to be portrayed as complicated or stressful and has attempted to explore its lighter and happier side.

Elan also revealed that his father has been his biggest inspiration. Recalling how his father did his makeup for a school annual function when he was in first standard, he said winning first prize at the event became an important moment in his journey. He credited his father for inspiring him through his transition from acting to filmmaking.
