Pyaar Prema Kaadhal is a new age cinema and a full-fledged film portraying more concerns on marriage and live-in relationship. The narration and making are flat at times but the performance from the artists has kept the film engaging throughout.

Pyaar Prema Kaadhal has all the elements for the new gen audience and the film seems to have kept the romance subtly. Harish Kalyan and Raiza Wilson have carried their chemistry right from the announcement of the film which they easily carried out as participants from the TV show. Yuvan as a producer picked up the right script for his maiden production and his belief on the director Elan has not gone in vain. As a romantic movie, the writing and narration had all the elements that can smoothly go through many youngsters’ lifestyle now.

Harish as a middle class family working in a corporate has portrayed his character as a door next boy, clean in his thoughts with a fused mind, has surely made an impact. Raiza is on the other side of life and is brought up in a modern culture. She sees romance in a different perspective and happens to meet each Harish, who is on a diverse spectrum. What happens with their relationship forms the climax.

The movie completely revolves around Raiza and Harish, their romance, friendship, heartbreaks, breakups and and a very little time is spent on their friends and family around. At times the script seems to completely fall flat and one could easily find out the flaw, but Harish and Raiza’s performances have saved the time. A little more impact on hows and whys could have made PPK a meaningful drama as well as a must watch film.

On the technical part, the Music is outstanding, and the BGM has made it simple. The cinematography and choreography are very colourful and appealing perfectly for a romantic movie. Editing should have played a major part and the runtime was bothering. Rekha, Anandbabu and Ramdass (Muniskanth) had very few scenes to show up.

Overall, Pyaar Prema Kaadhal concludes the difficulty in marriages and live in relationships, but at the same time, it doesn’t reach on what is the best. Unlike other romantic films, this one also asks to understand the situation first and proceed for the next. Watch it for Harish, Raiza and ofcourse the little maestro Yuvan!
