Bala on Pragathi Guruprasad’s role in Thaarai Thappattai

We reported few days back that Pragathi Guruprasad of Airtel Supersinger fame will essay the role of Sasikumar’s sister in Thaarai Thappatai. Now, director Bala has confirmed that she is indeed playing a pivotal role in the film but refused to reveal if she plays Sasikumar’s sister.

“I can’t discuss about the role, but Pragathi will be seen playing a character that will add a lot of weight to the story. It’s not a blink-and-miss kind of role, but one that’s very important from the film’s perspective. I wanted someone like Pragathi for the role and we were even ready to audition girls for the same, but then I felt she would fit the bill perfectly than anyone else,” says director Bala.
