Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dude clears censor with UA, TN rights reportedly acquired by AGS

Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dude gets UA certificate, gears up for Diwali release with AGS reportedly acquiring Tamil Nadu distribution rights.

Pradeep Ranganathan’s upcoming film Dude has officially cleared the censor board with a UA certification, paving the way for a grand Diwali release on October 17th. Directed by debutant Keerthiswaran, the film stars Mamitha Baiju as the female lead and Sarath Kumar in a key role. Music is composed by Sai Abhayankkar.

Originally, Raahul of Romeo Pictures was said to have secured the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights. However, sources now suggest he has exited the deal, making way for AGS Entertainment – a production house known for backing Pradeep’s earlier Blockbusters Love Today and Dragon, to step in as the TN distributor. With AGS onboard, Dude is expected to enjoy a wide release during the Diwali weekend.

There was initial buzz that Pradeep’s other project, LIK (Love Insurance Kompany), directed by Vignesh Shivan, might also hit screens this Diwali. However, that now appears uncertain, clearing the path for Dude to take the spotlight.

Releasing alongside Harish Kalyan’s Diesel and Dhruv Vikram’s Bison: Kaalamaadan, Dude is poised to be a major draw this festive season, bolstered by Pradeep’s rising stardom and AGS’s strong distribution network.
