Following last month’s exciting announcement, one of Tamil cinema’s most beloved duos – Prabhu Deva and Vadivelu, officially launched their new film today in an event held in Dubai. The film is directed by Sam Rodrigues and produced by Kannan Ravi (Production #4), with Deepak Ravi co-producing.
This upcoming project marks a significant reunion, as Prabhu Deva, Vadivelu, and music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja come together after 25 years. Their previous collaborations are remembered fondly by fans, and expectations are high for this long-awaited team-up. Adding to the prestige of the launch event, notable industry figures such as Lyca Productions founder Subaskaran, Actor Jiiva, Studio Green’s Gnanavel Raja, and director Nitheesh Sagadevan were present in Dubai to lend their support.
The film also boasts a strong technical crew: Music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, Cinematography by Vignesh Vasu, Editing by Anthony, and Stunts by Peter Hein.
Touted to be an action-adventure film infused with the signature humor and flair of Prabhu Deva and Vadivelu, the project has already stirred anticipation. Actor Babloo Prithiveeraj, fresh from appearances in Animal and Ace, will play a key role in the film.
Shooting is scheduled to begin in November and is planned to be completed in a single stretch. Further announcements regarding the rest of the cast will be revealed in the coming days. With nostalgia, top-tier talent, and a promising genre mix, this film is one to watch in 2026.
