Pooja ceremony of VJ Siddhu’s Dayangaram happened today; shoot starts soon

VJ Siddhu embarks on a new cinematic journey with Dayangaram, blending his signature youthful energy and real-life experiences into his much-anticipated directorial debut under Vels Film International.

Popular YouTuber VJ Siddhu has officially launched his much-awaited directorial debut titled Dayangaram with a traditional pooja ceremony, marking the beginning of the film’s production. The event took place on Monday (Oct 27th) with Siddhu himself playing the lead role, marking a significant milestone in his transition from entertainer to filmmaker.

In an earlier interaction, producer Ishari K. Ganesh shared that despite Vels Film International currently managing over ten projects in production, fans including many from overseas continue to ask when VJ Siddhu’s Dayangaram will release.

“That’s the kind of love and anticipation Siddhu has earned from audiences,” Ganesh remarked. “I conveyed the same to him as well. He’s currently fine-tuning the script with a greater sense of responsibility, and I’ve assured him that we’re ready to begin shooting the moment he gives the green light.” Ganesh’s comments reflect both the excitement surrounding Dayangaram and the confidence the production house has in Siddhu’s vision for his directorial debut.

With that being said, the pooja ceremony held earlier today and was graced by several notable film personalities, including actor-director Natty Nataraj, who is reportedly part of the cast. Other guests present were directors Ashwath Marimuthu (Dragon fame), and actors Ilavarasu, Harshath Khan, and Nithin Sathya, adding star power and support to the launch event.

Produced by Ishari K. Ganesh under the prestigious Vels Film International banner, Dayangaram is said to be inspired by Siddhu’s own life and career journey. Speaking about the film, Siddhu described it as “my fun, my youth, my livelihood, my life,” suggesting a vibrant, personal narrative that blends entertainment with emotion. Also he auded Siddhu’s creative spirit, calling him a “natural entertainer and promising filmmaker.” The film is expected to highlight Siddhu’s unique storytelling style, combining youthful energy with relatable life experiences.

While the pooja marks the film’s official start, the shooting is expected to commence next month as the team finalizes pre-production work. With its refreshing concept and an emerging talent at the helm, Dayangaram promises to be a lively addition to Tamil cinema’s lineup of youthful, contemporary stories.
