Ponniyin Selvan 2 takes third-highest opening of 2023 in TN!
Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan 2 has opened with a massive start, as the film has taken outstanding occupancy levels from its matinee shows yesterday. The film has now started off as the 3rd highest opener of 2023 in TN, just after Thunivu and Varisu which came for the Pongal 2023 season.
The PS2 effect is all set to rise higher in the coming days, as the film will fly high thanks to the long opening weekend and the lack of a proper notable release until the 12th of May. Being the school holidays, PS2 is expected to crack up big numbers within the 10th day of its run itself. We have to wait and see if it will cross the first part’s numbers which are close to the 480 crore mark worldwide.
