Pokkiri Raja joins the Pongal bandwagon

The latest film to join the Pongal bandwagon is the Jiiva, Hansika-starrer Pokkiri Raja directed by Ramprakash Rayappa. Since Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Ajith and Vijay have no release this time for the harvest festival, all the B-list actors are trying to cash in on the festive weekend.

Already, Vishal’s Kathakali, Bala’s Thaarai Thappattai, Jayam Ravi’s Miruthan and Eros International’s Oru Naal Koothu have confirmed their release on Pongal. Simbu’s long-awaited Idhu Namma Aalu is also eyeing for release on the same day. However, we expect at least two of these films to back out in the last minute due to lack of screens.
