Parasakthi Trailer: Sivakarthikeyan headlines a powerful period drama based on 1965 Anti-Hindi agitations

The Parasakthi trailer, released after the grand audio launch, offers a stirring glimpse into Sudha Kongara’s period film, led by Sivakarthikeyan and Ravi Mohan, ahead of its January 10th release.

Following the grand audio launch, the Parasakthi Trailer of Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming film has been officially unveiled. Directed by Sudha Kongara, the film boasts a powerful ensemble cast featuring Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa Murali, Sreeleela, among others, and is gearing up for a worldwide theatrical release on January 10th.

Inspired by true events, Parasakthi is set against the backdrop of the Anti-Hindi agitations that unfolded in Tamil Nadu in 1965. The film revisits this pivotal chapter in history through a narrative that blends commercial appeal with emotional intensity. Sivakarthikeyan essays the role of a young man whose journey moves fluidly between playful charm, romance, emotional vulnerability, and a rising revolutionary spirit. In a striking departure from his usual roles, Ravi Mohan appears as a ruthless and influential antagonist, marking a significant transformation in his on-screen persona. Their impending face-off stands out as one of the film’s most compelling highlights.

Atharvaa Murali is seen in a dynamic role, combining charm with aggression, portraying a character who ignites the initial spark of the revolution. Sreeleela, meanwhile, plays a strong supporting role that promises several impactful moments across the narrative.

The trailer is further elevated by a series of powerful and politically charged dialogues, including lines such as “Delhi thaan India va?”, “Antha kaali payaluga makkal oda paarvaikku hero va theriyalam la sir,” “Naanga Hindi thinippukku thaan ethir aanavanga, Hindi kaarangalukku illa,” and “En senthamizhai kaaka perum senai ondru undu,” which underline the film’s ideological core.

Music for Parasakthi is composed by GV Prakash Kumar, marking his 100th film as a music director. The songs have already garnered a positive response, while the background score featured in the trailer adds to its intensity. Ravi K Chandran’s cinematography lends visual grandeur to the period setting, complemented by the meticulous work of production designer Karthik Rajkumar and art director Annadurai, who convincingly recreate the era on screen.

With promotions in full swing, Parasakthi is all set to hit theaters in Tamil and Telugu from this Saturday, January 10th.
