Parasakthi censor certificate cleared; UA rating brings relief to makers
Relief for the Parasakthi team as the film secures its UA censor certificate, setting the stage for a wide theatrical release amid strong expectations and milestone moments.

After days of anticipation, the Parasakthi censor certificate has finally been cleared, bringing a major relief to the film’s team. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has officially granted the film a UA certificate, paving the way for its theatrical release tomorrow, Jan 10th, without further hurdles.
With a certified runtime of 162 minutes, Parasakthi is now set for a grand solo release across Tamil Nadu, while also securing a strong screen presence in overseas markets. This comes despite competition from other major releases lined up during the same period, including Prabhas’ Raja Saab. Trade circles suggest that the film’s genre and strong buzz have helped it retain favorable screen allocation.
Parasakthi holds special significance in terms of milestones. The film marks Sivakarthikeyan’s 25th outing as a lead actor, a landmark moment in his career. It also celebrates GV Prakash Kumar’s 100th film as a music composer, adding further weight to the project’s pre-release excitement.
Produced by Dawn Pictures and Directed by Sudha Kongara, known for her grounded yet emotionally powerful storytelling, the film is expected to blend strong performances with socially rooted themes. Ravi Mohan plays the antagonist, while Atharvaa and Sreeleela appear in pivotal roles, rounding off a compelling ensemble cast.
The recently released trailer has significantly boosted expectations, drawing praise for its intense tone, striking visuals, and emotionally charged moments. The sharp editing, impactful background score, and strong performances hinted in the trailer have positioned Parasakthi as a film to watch out for.
With the Parasakthi censor certificate now secured, the film moves confidently towards release, carrying strong expectations and milestone-driven anticipation.
