Pa. Ranjith speaks about the female lead of Chiyaan 61

In a recent interview, director Pa. Ranjith has stated that the pre-production work for Chiyaan Vikram’s next is currently underway in full swing, and that the shoot will start off in a couple of weeks. The team is currently in search for a suitable female lead, who will be one of the pillars of the film. The character of the female lead ostensibly travels throughout the film, which is why the makers feel it is very important.

Chiyaan61 is said to be a period film which will showcase the pains of the people who worked in mining fields. Ranjith has worked on the script for the past 4 years, and has done enough to make it look different from the KGF series which is very popular now.
