Sweet romantic entertainers – a sub genre that is dying out day by day, as filmmakers tend to find the genre too narrow and having less to explore. But still, director Krishnakumar Ramakumar finds a way to spin around an interesting story with Oho Enthan Baby, a watchable and enjoyable entertainer that turns out to be a cute film on the whole.

Written by Mukesh Manjunath, the story of Oho Enthan Baby starts off by introducing us to Ashwin, an assistant director who goes up to actor Vishnu Vishal (playing himself) to tell a story and get himself an opportunity to become a filmmaker, but he ends up telling his own love story which does not have a happy ending yet. As Vishnu drives Ashwin to complete his story, Oho Enthan Baby has an interesting way to go about it and keeps the ball rolling with fun and emotions put together well.

The film benefits from the presence of its lead cast – Rudra makes a confident debut and Mithila cuts it from the same cloth as her outings in Bollywood, she is excellent. The film is also very good in offering the supporting roles, Nivashini is very good while the same can be said about Karunakaran as well – he lands both comic and emotional dialogues well. The scenes involving Mysskin and Vishnu Vishal are pure crowd pleasers and they are sure to bring the roof down.

The film has lovely cinematography by Harish Kannan, and also Jen Martin’s wonderful music which elevates the energy in the film. RC Pranav’s editing is neat.

On the whole, Oho Enthan Baby is a chilled out and feel good entertainer that will satisfy you if you are looking for a nice urban romantic film.
