The makers of Modha Rathiri, starring Rishikanth and Anishma Anilkumar, have officially announced the film’s theatrical release date while unveiling its first-look poster. The rural comedy drama is set to hit cinemas worldwide on August 21.
The announcement was made by Mythri Movie Makers, who shared the first-look poster featuring the lead pair dressed in wedding attire. Accompanying the poster, the production house invited audiences to witness what it described as a wedding filled with unexpected twists and chaos, hinting at the film’s entertaining premise.
Directed by debutant Raja Karuppasamy, Modha Rathiri is billed as a rural comedy drama. The film marks Mythri Movie Makers’ third Tamil production, following the success of Ajith Kumar’s Good Bad Ugly and Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dude. The project is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under the Mythri Movie Makers banner.
According to the makers, the story revolves around an unusual wedding where a single night changes everything. What begins as a joyful new chapter soon spirals into confusion as unexpected surprises emerge and hidden lies come to light, setting the stage for an engaging family entertainer.
Apart from Rishikanth and Anishma Anilkumar, the film features Chetan, A. Venkatesh, Bagavathi Perumal, Abdool Lee, Shelly Kishore, Sangeetha Balan, Banupriya, Sumithra Devi, Varshini Karmegham, Karthikeyan, Velan, and Kowshik Kabilan in pivotal roles.
On the technical front, Surendran Paranjothi handles cinematography, Ashok Arjunan is in charge of editing, while Bharath Sankar composes the film’s music. Poornima Ramaswamy serves as the costume designer, with A. Balumahendra heading the art direction. With the first look now out and the release date confirmed, Modha Rathiri is gearing up to entertain audiences in theatres from August 21.
