Mysskin’s Confidence!

Director Mysskin always has a tendency to mark his films different from other films. Be it the pattern of making, be it the titles he was different and now he had gone one step forward rather two steps forward with two innovative and bold decisions that takes the film industry by surprise. His capacity as the producer of his film ‘Onaiyum aatukuttiyum’ has given him the extra leash and boldness to imply two important decisions that would have made other producer think twice or even reject. Deciding to do a film without songs in spite of the fact with the maestro Ilayaraja on the board and deciding to do away with the concept of a heroine. Two brave decisions that speaks about the confidence level of the director.

Quizzed about the initial reaction of the maestro himself on being informed on the ‘No song’ concept the director laughs aloud and recalls the entire episode ‘ He actually asked me get out the moment i stepped in as i was also aware of the fact that he was upset with me for not utilizing all the beautiful melodies he had composed for Nandalala. But once after he was explained the conditions under which i had to take this hard decision, the true creator understood the creative difficulty and endorsed my views too. When i told him about the ‘No song’ concept on ‘Onaiyum aatukuttiyum ‘ he was full of praise for my efforts and confidence and need less to say that he assured me a great fore ground score, i repeat for ground score since sound reaches the ears much before we could see the frames. This will be a real kingdom for Raja sir and i am waiting to hear the music that would give the tamil film lovers a new experience.

He also adds that his decision on ‘No heroine’ concept  has nothing to do with the difference and it happened because the script demanded it, and i absolutely enjoyed the privilege of being a producer, director because i was not bound by any external decisive factors. Produced under my banner Lone Wolf Productions this film of mine will be an edge of the seat thriller and it is a dark film , literally i would say because most of the portions were shot only in the night. Shri of ‘Vazhakku en 18/9’ has displayed lot of maturity as an innocent lamb and i am sure he has got a bright future ahead along with the other supporting cast. We are nearing completion and i am  sure the film would release by September, the director signs off his conversation with his customary style of confidence.
