“My film has no similarities with Kamal Haasan’s Sakalakala Vallavan”

Jayam Ravi clarifies that his forthcoming film Sakalakala Vallavan has no similarities with Kamal Haasan’s yesteryear hit Sakalakala Vallavan. “That was a separate genre altogether. I know that a similar title means that the film has a lot of baggage to carry, but there is no other resemblance between the two except the title,” he says.

Directed by Suraaj, Sakalakala Vallavan, earlier titled as Appa Takkar, features Jayam Ravi, Trisha, Anjali and Soori in the lead roles. The film is set for release on July 31st.
