My fan clubs are not under my control: Vijay Sethupathi

Vijay Sethupathi’s fledgling career has earned him a lot of fans and admirers in the industry. But, the humbleness personified actor says no to fan clubs and any activities promoting the same. “I have tried to convey to my fans in the most sensible ways possible, but they don’t seem to pay heed to my words. They start pages, communities on Facebook on their own. Meanwhile, I’m busy grooming my career here. In fact, my fan clubs are not under my control at all,” says Vijay Sethupathi who is currenly acting in Naanum Rowdy Thaan under Vignesh Shivan’s direction.

His production venture Orange Mittai has piqued the curiosity of audiences with its quirky teaser. “Life is not about the destination you reach. It’s more about the journey that beckons. This is what we have tried to convey in the film. It’s one of the most entertaining films I’ve done in my career. An ambulance, three persons and forty eight hours – these form the story. I play a 55-year old character and we have portrayed how youthful one can be at that age in a light-hearted, tasty manner,” says Vijay Sethupathi about Orange Mittai.
