“Mother tongue is strength”: AR Murugadoss reflects on film-making in Tamil vs Hindi

In a recent interaction, director AR Murugadoss opened up about the challenges he faces while working in Hindi cinema. He admitted, “I feel handicapped when I do Hindi films. Working in my mother tongue is my strength. Telugu is somewhat manageable, but Hindi is zero. From Tamil, it’s translated to English and then to Hindi, so I barely understand what they’re saying.”

Murugadoss also spoke fondly about Sivakarthikeyan, recalling his early days: “During Maan Karate, he was an actor transitioning from television. Today, he’s an inspiration for many aspiring actors who come without any background. I’m truly happy to witness his growth.”

Their next collaboration, Madharaasi, is one of the most anticipated films of the year. The first single ‘Salambala’ is set to release tomorrow 6PM, and the film itself is scheduled to hit screens on September 5th.

Starring Sivakarthikeyan and directed by Murugadoss, Madharaasi promises to be a class-mass entertainer and with the first song ready to drop, the excitement is steadily building among fans.
