“Miruthan is not based on Warm Bodies,” clarifies director

Director Shakti Rajan of Naaigal Jaakirathai fame has clarified that his forthcoming film Miruthan, billed as the first Zombie movie in Tamil, is not based on the Hollywood flick Warm Bodies. There have been speculations on social media platforms where netizens curiously discuss about the possible similarities between the two films.

“No, it is not true. Mirthan is not based on Warm Bodies,” said Shakti Rajan to Only Kollywood putting all rumors to rest. Featuring Jayam Ravi and Lakshmi Menon in the lead roles, Miruthan has been confirmed as a Pongal release and will be presented by Ayngaran. The film’s teaser will be unveiled at the audio launch mid-December.
