After reports surfaced on online platforms citing that the basic plot of Korean auteur Bong Joon-Ho’s Oscar-winning film Parasite was lifted from Thalapathy Vijay’s Minsara Kanna directed by KS Ravikumar, producer PL Thenappan who holds the rights to the comedy-drama has said that he is planning to sue the Parasite team.
Parasite became the first non-English film ever in the history of academy awards to win the top honor at the prestigious event. KS Ravikumar has also said he feels proud that he chose an Oscar-worthy story two decades back. Thenappan has said that he is planning to hire an international lawyer to initiate legal proceedings against Parasite team.
