Actor Mamitha Baiju is reportedly in discussions to play the female lead in actor Soori’s upcoming project directed by filmmaker Ravikumar. While the casting has generated considerable buzz, an official confirmation from the makers is still awaited.
The yet to be titled film, currently referred to as Soori 07, marks an important collaboration between Soori and director Ravikumar of Indru Netru Naalai and Ayalaan fame. The project is being planned as a Tamil-Telugu bilingual, expanding its reach across multiple audiences.
Backed by leading production house Mythri Movie Makers, the film is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar. The banner has steadily strengthened its presence in Tamil cinema, and this venture will mark its third Tamil production following earlier projects in the industry.
Soori, who transitioned from comedy roles to leading performances with critically appreciated films in recent years, continues to explore diverse scripts as a protagonist.
