Lokesh Kanagaraj on Thalapathy Vijay’s role in LCU: “It won’t be fulfilled without him”

At a recent promotional event for Coolie held at PSG CAS, Coimbatore, director Lokesh Kanagaraj stirred buzz by addressing Thalapathy Vijay’s connection to the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU). “Without Vijay na, there won’t be LCU. But I don’t know whether he will be part of it, as you all know where his vision stands today,” he said, referring to Thalapathy Vijay’s political aspirations. “But any day, LCU won’t be fulfilled without him,” he added, drawing emotional cheers from fans.

The statement comes just days ahead of the grand Coolie Unleashed event, scheduled for August 2nd at Nehru Stadium, Chennai. The star-studded celebration is expected to host top celebrities from across the country. Most notably, the much-awaited trailer of Coolie, will be unveiled during the event.

With Coolie set for a worldwide theatrical release on August 14th, anticipation is at an all-time high. Though Thalapathy Vijay’s involvement in future LCU films remains uncertain, Lokesh’s words confirm the actor’s irreplaceable place in the cinematic universe he’s built.
