In a surprise press meet, Gnanavelraja made it official that director Lingusamy will helm the 12th production of Studio Green, which also marks the Tamil feature debut of Telugu star Allu Arjun. The movie will go on floors from February 2017. “After a long time, we have come across a script on the lines of Paruthiveeran. It will be an important film in Lingusamy’s career. The final cast and crew will be decided soon,” said Gnanavelraja.
Lingusamy thanked Allu Arjun for providing this opportunity and assured audiences that he will be working hard to make this project a huge success. “I’ll be starting Sandakozhi 2 immediately. After completing it, I will begin shooting for Allu Arjun’s bilingual project from February,” said Lingusamy.
Allu Arjun stunned everyone by speaking in near-fluent Tamil. “I was born and brought up here. I’ve spent 20 years of my life in Chennai. I wanted a proper, direct launchpad for my Tamil debut. I don’t want to compare this film with Paruthiveeran. It’s a different magic. It’s incomparable. We’ll try to make a beautiful, good film,” said Allu Arjun.
