LIK Trailer: Pradeep Ranganathan headlines futuristic romance questioning technology’s role in love

The LIK trailer unveils a futuristic romantic drama where Pradeep Ranganathan challenges an AI-driven matchmaking system, questioning whether technology can truly understand or replace genuine human emotions.

The trailer of Love Insurance Kompany (LIK), starring Pradeep Ranganathan, has been officially unveiled, offering a vibrant glimpse into a futuristic romantic drama that explores whether technology can truly replace human emotions. Written and directed by Vignesh Shivan, the film blends science fiction elements with relationship-driven storytelling.

Set in the year 2040, the film introduces a world where love itself has become algorithm-driven. SJ Suryah plays the founder of an advanced matchmaking application designed to predict romantic compatibility with near-divine precision. The app claims to identify ideal partners by categorizing individuals as compatible or incompatible, positioning technology as the ultimate authority over relationships.

Pradeep Ranganathan portrays Vibe Vassey, a disillusioned bachelor who joins the company as the voice behind the AI-powered system. However, his personal life soon complicates the company’s ambitions when he develops a genuine emotional connection with Krithi Shetty’s character, Dheema. Their relationship becomes the emotional core of the narrative, challenging the very premise on which the company operates.

As suggested by the trailer, the conflict intensifies when the organization views Vassey’s romance as a threat to its technological ideology and business model. Determined to defend the authenticity of human emotions, he sets out to prove that no software or algorithm can replicate the depth and unpredictability of real love.

The film positions itself as a sci-fi romantic comedy layered with social commentary, examining modern dating culture and society’s increasing dependence on technology for emotional decisions. With humor, romance, and futuristic visuals, LIK appears to question whether love can ever be reduced to data and predictions.

Apart from Pradeep Ranganathan, SJ Suryah, and Krithi Shetty, the film features an ensemble cast including Yogi Babu, Gouri G Kishan, Seeman, and several others in pivotal roles. Backed by Rowdy Pictures and Seven Screen Studio, the project also features music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, adding to its youthful and contemporary tone.

With its unique premise and emotional conflict between technology and human connection, Love Insurance Kompany aims to deliver a fresh take on romance while reflecting on how digital advancements are reshaping modern relationships. The film is slated to hit screens worldwide on April 10 in Tamil and Telugu.
