In January 2018, Raghava Lawrence, who was then shooting for Kanchana 3 with Oviya and Vedhika as leads, announced that his next project would be Kaala Bairavaa. The movie will be produced and directed by Lawrence, who will also star in the lead role.
Now sources say Sun Pictures has agreed to come on board with Raghavendra Productions. Lawrence is planning to make Kaala Bairavaa as a 3D fantasy-horror film and with a huge budget. It will reportedly be the costliest film of Lawrence in his career. Currently, Lawrence is busy shooting for the Hindi remake of Kanchana.
