Reports suggest that Kamal Haasan’s upcoming project, tentatively titled KH237, is gearing up to begin production soon. The film, which marks the actor’s 237th outing, will be directed by acclaimed stunt choreographers-turned-filmmakers Anbariv, and is expected to move into the shooting phase following the completion of the ongoing election period.
According to industry buzz, KH237 is planned as a full-scale action thriller with a strong science-fiction backdrop. The film is reportedly centred around themes connected to artificial intelligence, signalling an ambitious genre blend that combines action spectacle with futuristic storytelling. Sources indicate that pre-production work has been progressing steadily, with the team preparing to commence filming once election results are announced.
While no official announcement has been made by the makers regarding the production timeline, reports suggest that principal photography could begin in May. The project has already generated curiosity among fans, especially as it marks a new collaboration that places action choreography at the forefront of narrative design.
Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan continues to maintain a packed schedule. The actor has recently completed one shooting schedule for the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin. The sequel remains one of the most anticipated large-scale Indian productions currently in development.
Following KH237, the veteran star is also expected to begin work on another project, tentatively referred to as KHxRK, which will reportedly go on floors in October. The film to be directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, further adding to an already diverse lineup of upcoming ventures for the actor.
