At the pre-release event of Revolver Rita, Keerthy Suresh spoke with warmth and excitement about what drew her to the film. She recalled that when director JK Chandru narrated the story to her for the first time, she burst into laughter after many days – an instinctive reaction that convinced her she had to take up the role. She said Chandru’s clarity of vision and calm approach on set made the entire team feel comfortable, adding that his direction carries a freshness she immediately trusted.
Keerthy also reflected on sharing screen space with veteran Radikaa Sarathkumar for the very first time, despite having known her for years through their earlier professional connections. She described Radikaa as pure dynamite: energetic, fiery, and inspiring – and expressed how fortunate she felt to finally collaborate with her. According to Keerthy, the chemistry between them has shaped up beautifully in the film.
Addressing the film’s tone, Keerthy clarified that Revolver Rita is not a heavy action drama but a dark comedy that blends humor and mild action in a way that families can enjoy. She noted that the presence of guns in the story does not overshadow its fun, quirky spirit, and assured that the film maintains a lighthearted flavor throughout.
The project brings JK Chandru back to direction after more than a decade, supported by a cast that includes Radikaa Sarathkumar, Redin Kingsley, Mime Gopi, Sendrayan, and stunt master Super Subbarayan. Dinesh Krishnan handles cinematography and Praveen KL edits the film. Revolver Rita has now completed its censor formalities with a U/A certificate and a runtime of 2 hours and 22 minutes. The film is all set to release this Friday, November 28th.
