“Kamal Hassan’s involvement has sent out a strong message”
Kamal Haasan, who led the Swachh Bharat campaign with the help of his fans on his birthday last year by cleaning up the Madhambakkam lake, has made people residing in the locality avoid dumping in the lake.
“Kamal Hassan’s involvement has sent out a strong message on the need to clean the lake. More people have come forward to help and have been carrying out the drive at a faster pace. Their dedication is tremendous,” said Arun Krishnamurthy, founder of the Environmentalist Foundation of India (EFI).
