Kamal Haasan to play Shruti Haasan’s dad in his next

Kamal Haasan will be playing the role of Shruti Haasan’s father in his upcoming film, which will start rolling from February. Kamal is currently scouting locations in the US for this yet-untitled project, which is scripted by him.

“Contrary to media reports, Kamal Haasan and Shruti are not going to share screen space for Amma Appa Vilayattu. This will be a new project and TK Rajeev Kumar, who was supposed to direct Amma Appa Vilayattu, has been retained by Kamal to helm this one,” informs a source. Ilaiyaraja is in talks to compose music for the film. An official announcement on the project can be expected soon.

Kamal Haasan has also confirmed that he will be doing an action thriller with Rajesh M Selva, who made his directorial debut in Thoongaavanam, soon.
