Kamal Haasan responds to KE Gnanavel Raja’s complaint with TFPC

Following the complaint lodged by producer KE Gnanavel Raja with the Tamil Film Producers Council stating that Kamal Haasan owed him Rs 10 crores for the bailout during the release of Uttama Villain, Ulaganayagan has now responded through an official statement.

Haasan has said that he worked on Uttama Villain on a first copy basis for Lingusamy’s Thirupathi Brothers and finished his work properly. When the film incurred losses, Haasan argues that he promised to work on another project for Lingusamy to compensate. However, since there was no response from Lingusamy’s end, Haasan says he dropped it. Haasan also argues that he has nothing to pay to Gnanavel Raja and says he has no ties with the producer.
