Kamal Haasan’s Drishyam to start rolling from August

Jeethu Joseph directorial Drishyam has been successfully remade in Telugu and Kannada. Though the Kannada remake has not generated expected results, the Telugu remake has struck gold at the box-office. Now, it’s officially announced that the Tamil remake of the film will commence in the first week of August. Directed by Jeethu Joseph, who helmed the original, the film will have Kamal Haasan reprising Mohanlal’s role. It will be jointly produced by Suresh Balaje of Wide Angle Creations and Raj Kumar Sethupathy and Sripriya Rajkumar of Raj Kumar Theatres Pvt Ltd.

The pooja for the movie was recently held in Chennai. Jeyamohan, who has written dialogues for films such as Naan Kadavul, Kadal and Neerparavai, has been roped in to pen dialogues. This is also the first time the renowned writer is joining hands with Ulaganayagan though their friendship off screen is well-known. Ghibran composes music and Na. Muthukumar writes lyrics. While Ayoob Khan takes care of editing, Rembon handles the art department and Sujith Vasudev will crank the camera.
