Kalaipuli Thanu shares update on Vaadivaasal and future projects with Vetrimaaran

Producer Kalaipuli S Thanu reveals animatic work underway for Vaadivaasal, discusses future collaborations with Vetrimaaran, and hints at ambitious projects before the film finally goes on floors.

Veteran producer Kalaipuli Thanu has offered fresh update into the long-awaited project Vaadivaasal in a recent interview, providing clarity on its current status and future roadmap. Addressing the prolonged anticipation surrounding the film, Thanu revealed that the project is presently in a crucial preparatory phase, with animatic work underway in London. This stage is being approached with meticulous care, ensuring that the film’s scale and vision are executed to perfection.

According to Thanu, the Suriya starring Vaadivaasal will commence production only after this detailed planning phase is fully completed, and at a time deemed creatively and logistically suitable. Emphasizing the film’s cultural significance, he described Vaadivaasal as a project that will stand as a symbol of pride and recognition for Tamilians across the world, underlining its deep-rooted emotional and cultural resonance.

The producer also spoke about his continued collaboration with director Vetrimaaran. Following the ongoing Arasan, Thanu confirmed that discussions are currently underway for another major project with the acclaimed filmmaker. Once this proposed venture is completed, Vaadivaasal is expected to finally go on floors, bringing the much-discussed film closer to realization.

In addition, Thanu disclosed that Vetrimaaran is set to make a film inspired by the KGF backdrop, hinting at an ambitious and large-scale undertaking in the filmmaker’s future lineup.
