Kaithi: Sam CS talks about the different musical approach for the film

Karthi’s Kaithi is off to a great start at the box office with glowing reviews all round. The film is being appreciated for its finesse in all departments, including the background score by Sam CS. Speaking to the composer on the effort, he says “In Kaithi, we didn’t have any routine songs so i had to put in all my efforts in trying to narrate a story through the music as well. We decided to have different themes for different junctures and it worked well, especially when we had the two-ring tone for the portions which are reminiscent of Dilli’s jail days. When the sequel comes out, the background score will be born out of this tone.”

Sam is now getting congratulatory calls from Bollywood and Tollywood too for his work in Kaithi. He has associated himself with many promising projects in Kollywood, the announcements for which will be coming out soon.
