Kaalidas 2 teaser sets the stage for a riveting crime thriller
Bharath reprises his role as Inspector Kaalidas in Kaalidas 2, a standalone crime thriller by director Sri Senthil. While not a direct sequel to the 2019 film, the story once again follows the cop investigating a string of connected murders. The teaser, released by actor Ravi Mohan, hints at a gripping narrative that opens with a distress call and spirals into a mystery.
The film, tagged “Crime and Punishment,” features Ajay Karthi in a negative role, Prakash Raj as a lawyer, and Kishore in a pivotal part. Marking her return after over two decades, Sangita joins the ensemble cast alongside Suresh Menon, Bhavani Sre, Anant Nag, and others.
Shot across Chennai and Kerala, the film boasts music by Sam CS, cinematography by Suresh Bala, and editing by Bhuvan Srinivasan. Director Sri Senthil sees the film as a fresh take within the same universe.
